GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports District schools and principals in their effort to foster an optimal educational environment for students. Performs duties as assigned by the Principal.
MAJOR TASKS:
- Assists Principal in developing plans for meeting World Language goals and objectives.
- Selects classroom materials appropriate to implement goals and objectives.
- Works in conjunction with the Principal in designing curriculum, thematic units and daily lesson plans, all
aligned with AZ state standards.
- Delivers lessons using project strategies, techniques, and objectives unique to the students receiving the special programming (under Principal supervision).
- Asseses project students and converts results to data for official project reporting.
- Maintains confidentiality in regard to information about project students.
- Participates in training sessions, conferences and workshops for ongoing professional skills related to
the special program/project.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent, additional college or training preferred. • Meets Special Program requirements (ie. Special area of focus: HTES/BMES: Chinese, DSA.
DWES/BMES: Spanish)
- Excellent written and oral language skills.
- Ability to relate well to children and adults.
- Knowledge in all academic areas.
- Experience teaching or tutoring children and adults.
