Supports District schools and principals in their effort to foster an optimal educational environment for students. Collects money and keeps records of students' lunch fund. Responsible for preparation of salad bar, food and clean-up as requested.
• Collects money & checks before & during lunch service hours
• Operates Meal Tracker (POS) System.
• Maintains accurate financial records, to be verified by Kitchen Manager.
• Prepares checks, cash & coins for deposit following CN Departmental guidelines.
• Maintains records of students' charges and collects payment for charges as required.
• Informs Kitchen Manager of delinquent accounts and sends out payment reminders on a daily basis. Assist in calls to parents as needed and/or directed by the Kitchen Manager.
• Maintains a clean and organized work space.
• Assists in cleaning of kitchen to include dishes & cleaning of all cafeteria and kitchen food contact surfaces following all HACCP procedures and local health code.
• Prepares and sets up salad bar items and any other items as directed by Kitchen Manager. Breaks down and cleans the salad bar along with assisting other employees with kitchen cleaning.
• Ensures that all Free & Reduced forms submitted are compete with all required information.
• Ensures that meal trays include components as required by NSLP state and federal guidelines.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.
• High school graduate, or equivalent.
• Hold an Arizona Food Service worker card.
• Previous experience in cashiering.
• One year experience in financial record keeping.
• Ability to work with students.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to cooperate with other Child Nutrition employees.
